He gave me you

when my heart was filled with sorrow

He gave me you

in hope for tomorrow.

 

He gave me you

to wipe away the tears,

He gave me you

to take away the fears.

 

He gave me you

when I saw no other way,

He gave me you

to brighten up my day.

 

He gave me you

to love and hold so tight,

He gave me you

'cause He knew you'd do right.
